Resident Introduction

We recognise that every prospective resident should have the opportunity to choose a home that suits his or her needs and abilities. To facilitate that choice and to ensure that our residents know precisely what services we offer, we do the following:

• Provide detailed information about the Home, by publishing a Statement of Purpose and a detailed Residents' Guide. This information is provided in a variety of formats, whatever the individual resident requires. Recently we have produced this information as picture books as well as translated into a different langauge.
  
• Ensure that every prospective resident has his or her needs assessed before a decision on admission is taken.
  
• Demonstrate to every resident due to be welcomed to the Home that we are able to meet his or her needs as assessed.
  
• Offer introductory visits to prospective residents and avoid unplanned admissions.
